From Haiku Canada Weekend

It’s very beautiful in Victoria, BC, so different than New Mexico. White rhododendron. Huge chestnut trees lifting candles to the sky. Red peonies. Everything in profusion. Including haiku.
Here are just a few, selected from the literature table:

flu season–
to kiss
or not to kiss

Carole MacRury from “Holdfast”

good abalone catch…
at each beach fire
a different recipe

Kathleen Tice, from “Coastal Haiku”

the sedum turned wine red–
yet again I am offered
a seat on the bus

Vicki McCullough from “Ripening”

wild roses
the way she ties back
her hair

Terry Ann Carter, from a lovely little collection “A Hundred Umbrellas”

More to come!
