What: “A Closer Look”; photographer Teresa Neptune and printmaker Linda Hunsaker find inspiration in shared locations as the detail in what they observe informs the art they create.

The iconic Monument Valley was the first stop on what evolved into a decade long series of “road trips in search of the creative moment” for photographer Teresa Neptune and mixed media artist Linda Hunsaker.

The exhibit “A Closer Look” opening at the Teresa Neptune Gallery will include each artist’s point of view from the locations they visited, sometimes in a similar way, sometimes not, through different mediums. The technologies they use span the history of art, from pencil to pixel. Both artists favor B&W, monotone and gray-scale with color used very judiciously. Locations include both the obscure and the iconic, including: Monument Valley, Aztec, Villa Nueva, Chimayo, Fort Stanton, and Chama, New Mexico.
