I’m working on a piece of speculative fiction–probably about novella length. It’s set in real places. A canyon in Vernal, Utah is important as is a village in New Mexico. I drew lots of maps:
Then I looked at a real map and discovered, I’d put New Mexico north of Utah.
Time to start re-writing.
Excited to read this! The maps are intriguing! And hey, maybe in your speculative world there was an earthquake or an explosion that made Santa Fe travel north?
I love your idea–but it might be my dyslexia. Basically I wanted things downstream but swapped directions.
