What Is Happening With Maternal Mitochondria Duo

Isabel said we should add an element to pieces we’d already printed–I found it quite scary and tried to distract her. She said I was a difficult student and that she was glad she didn’t have an entire class acting out.

The results were fun:

Here is my favorite of Isabel’s monoprints–with ghost print

The suminagashi has taken on some quality of monoprinting, in part because of the stability of one of the inks we’re using–Korean acrylic.

Maternal Mitochondria is the mother-daughter team, Miriam Sagan & Isabel Winson-Sagan. Happy Mother’s Day!
